Deana Jak and 2014 JNHE HYFA ContributionDeana Jak Farms Matches Donation to Support Hereford Youth and Future Junior National Hereford Expos

Doug and Jenny Howe of Deana Jak Farms presented $85,000 to the Hereford Youth Foundation of America (HYFA) “Growing a Lasting Legacy” campaign during the Hereford Honorees Reception Oct. 31 in Kansas City. The campaign is designed to ensure the sustainability of future Junior National Hereford Expos (JNHEs) and leadership events for generations to come. The Howes presented $35,000 as chairmen of the 2014 JNHE host committee, which was a surplus of the fundraising from “A Sweet Family Tradition,” in Harrisburg, Pa. The 2014 JNHE was hosted by Hereford breeders from Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Virginia and West Virginia. FULL STORY

2014 HYFA Scholarship WinnersYouth Awarded More Than $37,000 in Scholarships

During the 2014 American Hereford Association Annual Meeting, more than $37,000 was awarded to NJHA members in scholarship monies. This makes more than $450,000 in scholarships that have been dispersed to Hereford youth by the Hereford Youth Foundation of America HYFA since 2000. FULL STORY

Cutting Edge Sale Raises $76,600 for Hereford Research

A total of $81,700 was raised during the Cutting Edge Sale Sept. 5 aboard the Showboat Branson Belle. The 15 donated lots generated an abundance of excitement from charitable bidders for the benefit of the Hereford Research Foundation (HRF) and the Hereford Youth Foundation of America (HYFA).
